Small Town Pools

Here is a list of smaller communities that have successfully built pools.  These communities may be spread across the United States, but if they've overcome similar constraints that we will face, they may have lessons to share.

Bethel, Connecticut (about 10,000 to 18,000 people)

Tybee Island, Georgia (about 3,000 people)

Status: No pool has been developed yet. The organization hasn't updated facebook since July 2013, although some members of the facebook page still indicate interest.

Morro Bay, California (about 10,000 people)

Status: It looks like the foundation is active, but a pool hasn't been built yet.

Delhi, NY (about 3,000 people)

They also have finalized engineering plans
They have raised $835,000.
They opted for a single lap & recreation pool because it required lower maintenance fees than 2 separate pools.

Status: The project has all design and engineering plans complete.  Once they have raised enough money, they will be ready to break ground.
